The function of the Yamaha Trim and Tilt Relay (12V) 50-250HP is to switch current on and off to the trim and tilt motor. The relay acts as a secondary switch to the one that the boat operator activates at the helm. When the switch at the helm is turned on, it sends current to the relay, which has an electromagnet that completes the circuit and sends current to operate the tilt trim motor. *P*
