Solenoids are arranged in a diamond configuration, 12V to the top, Ground to the bottom and the winch motor across the center. Turn on one top solenoid and the opposite bottom one and you get one polarity at the motor. Turn on the other two solenoids and you get the opposite polarity (and reverse motor operation). Solenoids are categorized into two styles, either a Pull style or a Push style. *N*
